Delete your account
Ghost.md, by Matt Wisniewski
You can delete your Ghost.md account yourself, at any time, from any device you're signed in on. It takes effect at once.
In the app
- Open Ghost.md and go to Settings › Account.
- Tap Delete account, enter your password, and tap Delete my account.
From a web browser
- Open the web version of Ghost.md and sign in, in Settings › Account.
- Then, in the same place, tap Delete account and enter your password.
What's deleted
Everything your account keeps on our servers, for good:
- your account and handle
- your synced notes, their recordings and pictures, and your settings
- every link you've shared, which stops opening
- your devices' keys and your recovery codes
Your other devices are signed out, and an AI assistant you connected loses access. The notes on your devices stay there, because they're your own files; uninstall the app, or delete them in it, to remove them from a device.
If you can't sign in
If you've lost your password, you can sign in with one of your recovery codes (Settings › Account › Lost the password), and then delete the account. If you've lost both, write to infamousvaguerat@gmail.com with your handle, and we'll delete the account for you. Without the password or a code nobody can open the notes in it, us included, so nothing in it can be read either way.
